Codevintec Italiana srl is a privately owned company with qualified staff and several external consultant companies and professionals. Founded in 1973, Codevintec acts as the most important firm in the Italian Earth Sciences and Geomatics markets for more then 3 decades.
Its expertise covers the fields of Geodesy, Geophysics, Oceanographic and Positioning systems plus outfitting of Oceanographic Vessels and Mobile GIS Surveying Vehicles.
Milestones achieved are: the supply of the first Interactive Graphic System in Europe during 1973, supplying the main components for the Italian Earthquake Monitoring Network in the 70's (and its complete overhauling in 2002 with new digital components and VSAT telemetry), expanding Ground Penetrating Radar technology in 1983, introducing Italy’s first commercial surveying GPS receiver in 1986, and many other strategic activities with important government and private Italian organizations.
In 2003 Codevintec expanded its activities in the 3D Imaging world, covering land, subsurface and subsea applications, in association with world leading equipment manufacturers.
Codevintec also features a well equipped internal technical assistance laboratory, being able to perform repairs, customisations and system integrations. Codevintec, also act as the European Service Center for the Optech Terrestrial Laser Scanner.
